My  ’59 Les Paul conversion. This guitar started out as a ’79 Les Paul Deluxe, but because it had a beautiful 1-piece mahogany back it became a perfect candidate for a conversion. A new ’59 profile long tenon 1-piece mahogany neck was made and fitted, then the body was capped with a flamed Michigan maple top. A brazilian rosewood fretboard was made from an original 50’s blank. It is equipped with aged nickel hardware including some original old Grover machine heads. The pickups are Peter Florence Voodoo’s. The finish is Tea Burst in Nitrocellulose sightly aged and checked.

The skillful work was done by Brian Monty of montyguitars.com a renowned and talented Canadian Luthier
